I just returned from Nepal, where I was met by Devendra at the Airport with a very warm welcome to Nepal. Devendra organised all aspects of my trip, including a day being guided through Kathmandu's rich world heritage sites. I then trekked with Devendra and Ambir for 18 days. They are very experienced guide and assistant guide team. As I was travelling on my own with them, I was able to stop, look and take photos at any time. They adjusted to my pace beautifully and were at all time courteous and great fun to be with. I felt safe every moment I spent with them. Their attention to detail was second to none. When I got sick with a very bad cold, they couldn't have done more for me. I enjoyed traveling, learning and mixing with the rural Nepalese people, as much as possible and even changed my schedule, due to that. Devendra is very knowledgeable and passed on his wealth of information. He's a very humble person and has a wonderful style with his guests, staff and family. I highly recommend this trekking company to all.

"Devendra supported our charity trek to Mount Everest Base Camp Sept 2015 to raise money for bereaved Children and Young people in Hampshire. England.
It was one of the first treks in 2015 since the Earthquake in Nepal earlier the same year. Devendra and his team worked so hard to ensure not only our safety, but that the trek was achievable, fun and rewarding. He met us from the airport with smiles to lighten anyone's world. He is an outstanding gentleman who organized activities for us before leaving for Lukla, during our mountain trek into wonderful teahouses, showing us sites and explaining what life was like before the earthquake and then since for some of these communities. He not only looked after us, but educated our team on life within the mountain, orgnising visits to schools and monasteries. Devendra quietly got on with his job to ensure our trip was the most amazing experience. My 15 year old son enjoyed his company - laughing and joking with Devendra and his team! He is knowledgeable and humble in his work and if/ when I re visit Nepal, I will be booking Devendra and his most marvelous team"

Several years ago, we had the great fortune of meeting Devendra and having him as our guide as we trekked to Everest Base Camp and the Gokyo Chola Pass.

Put simply, it was the best trip of our lives and we have Devendra to thank for this.

Devendra looked after us as if we were family. He anticipated our every need and always went above and beyond to ensure we were safe, comfortable and having the time of our lives.

Not only did we get to view some of the most beautiful scenery in the world but we also gained a beautiful friend in the process.

If you are thinking of trekking Nepal we highly recommend Devendra's guiding services. It will be a life changing experience and you will share it all with an amazing person.

I traveled with a group of 7 to Poonhill, the guides in our group were Devendra, DB and as assistan guide/porter Kiron.
I have to say that was one of the best trips in my live, the landscapes, lodges and tea houses were unbeatable but getting to know our guides, their way of living and the generosity of the treat we received in Nepal were the highlights.
The team of guides knew their way, helped us and were always around when needed. Thanks a lot for everything, Jesús.

Devendra led the 6-day Ghorepani Poonhill trekking for our group of 7 people in April 2015 and the trip was really fantastic and unforgettable.
For trekking beginners like us, Devendra provided detailed and useful information and reminder to us in advance of the trip and quickly addressed every queries that we had. He is a very experienced guide who knows the route well and has good knowledge of the local history and culture. He could promptly adjust our trekking plan based on our conditions and weather.
Everthing including the food, accommodation and transportation are well arranged and nice. Devendra and his team are kind, caring, and ready for help whenever needed. We especially appreciated the fruits provided after meal which were carried by them along the trip!
Thank you very much Devendra and your team. We all had a great time enjoying the amazing views of mountains and rivers. Hope to see you again in the future!

We (group of 6) visited Nepal for in the end of September 2014 for a 10 days trip, and we took the Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) Trekking as recommended by Devendra. It is such a fantastic experience, everyday full of breathtaking views, we enjoyed the trekking very much.
Mostly worth mention that the entire team (Devendra, DB and the 3 porters) are so sincere, humble and kind, they arranged everything well: the accommodations, the flexible daily itinerary based on our health condition, the delicious food (Oh yes, the food will definitely be beyond your expectation!). Devendra, thank you for always being so patient to write down our hot drink combinations: masala tea with chocolate, ginger lemon with honey and etc, etc and etc. Thank you the entire team, we are so touched by your hospitality and thoughtfulness to make our trip so enjoyable.

Four of my friends and myself have done trekking trips to different areas in Nepal in the past, but due to political reasons it was in the past not possible to trek the Upper Mustang valley. Finally in April/May 2014 we were able to visit this secluded and desert like valley behind the Annapurna massive. Our Sherpa Devendra and his team and of course the strong mules made this trekking trip from Jomsom to Lo Manthang and back, on a different route, to Jomsom an unforgettable experience. There was nothing we had to worry and take care off, because Devendra had everything planned to the last detail, and he still gathered to all our special wishes along the way. The food was outstanding and the kitchen team surprised us every day with new creations out of their rather simple kitchen. Unbelievable, but they spoiled us with different cakes after every meal. The delicious food was also prepared in a clean way thus none of us experienced any unpleased stomach problems on the way. The new and comfortable tents were always set up and the bags unloaded when we arrived tired from our daily walks. The route Devendra selected made us take the cameras out after every turn to capture the overwhelming views. For me and my friends it was an unforgettable trekking trip and everything turned out to be much better than we have ever expected. Thank you very much Sherpa Devendra and team, you are the stars. Namaste until the next rip. To anyone we can only recommend Devendra

I first trekked with Devendra in 2001 and found him to be an excellent and friendly trekking guide. In 2013 he organised a trek to Dolpo for myself and a group of friends. Dolpo is a remote and logistically difficult region to organise a trek in but nothing seemed to be a problem for Devendra and his crew. The crew are all friends and family and were just lovely people, very friendly, kind and caring. They looked after us very well and I would recommend Devendra to anyone.
Thanks Devendra!

Devendra led a three week trek up to Annapurna Base Camp for our group this September. I had never done anything like that before so didnt know what to expect.
It was a fantastic experience and everything was sorted out for us by Devendra from meeting us at the airport, our accommodation, food, guides, porters and the timetable and trek itself. He made sure that everything was arranged and sorted out so that we could fully enjoy the experience and enjoy the trekking and amazing views.
Thank you for making it such a pleasant and remarkable experience. Your attention to the small details and hospitality made it an unforgettable trip.
Thanks again
Alastair

Devendra Rai was our guide on the Annapurna Circuit in the fall of 2007. He was responsible to a large degree for the outstanding success of our trek to Nepal. His English is excellent which allowed us to not only talk about the peaks, rivers, villages, but also to discuss politics (the Maoists were active on the trek at that time), his life in his village, how it was to live in Kathmandu, and his religious views (animist) and our religious beliefs. We had hours of stimulating conversation. Devendra was always ready to help out when needed whether it was finding a hack saw to cut off my lock to my room when I lost my key, to finding great places for apple pie (a wonderful treat on the trek), to carrying my pack one day when I was ill. Devendra was always there for us. I highly recommend him
