Manaslu Circuit Trekking

Manaslu Region used to be a restricted trekking Region until December 2007. Now, Traveler can trek in this region upon obtaining a special permit from the immigration office in Kathmandu. You will be transient through Hindu and Tibetan-style villages and green landscape and northwards, the gorge brings in to expose charming alpine meadows and small Tibetan-style villages which accumulate underneath North Face of Manaslu Mountain. For decades, Tibetan immigrants have resolved to this far-flung district of Nepal, and the villages here comprise generations of these persons.
Their language, clothing and cultures are similar to the Tibetans. This widespread and strenuous trek is predictably rewarded with brilliant mountain views, combination of unique cultural heritage, vivid biological diversity and pristine natural beauty as it rotates the entire Manaslu range. Starting from the old town of Arughat the trail heads up the valley of the Budhi Gandaki River through wild and unexplored country inhabited mainly by members of the Gurung ethnic group before entering Trans-Himalayan terrain and crossing the Larkya La Pass (5125m) and then entering the Marsyandi Valley along the main trail of Annapurna circuit. Manaslu trail passes through the age old monasteries and chortens, traditional villages and natural diversity. Manaslu trek offers a glimpse of preserved authentic villages, rich natural beauty and traditional local culture that are fast disappearing from other major trekking regions of Nepal.
Manaslu Circuit is an alternative to Annapurna Circuit Trek and gives you a major diversity in landscape, people and culture. A beautiful trek boasting all the delights of the Annapurna circuit but without the crowd. Manaslu Conversation Area covers an area of 1663 sq. km and is a home for almost 33 different species of mammals including the elusive snow leopard, Himalayan thar, blue sheep, musk deer, barking dear, pike, Himalayan marmots etc. with over 110 species of birds including pheasant, raven, chough etc. Visit the age old monasteries and chortens and enjoy the warm hospitality of the local people. This trip is both a Himalayan trek and a cultural journey to medieval world.

Day 03: Drive Aarughat (550m.) and Soti Khola from Kathmandu

Day 04: Trek Machhakhola (825m.) from Soti Khola (597m.)

Day 05: Trek Jagat (1330m.) from Machhakhola

Day 06: Trek Deng (1860m.) from Jagat (1330m.)

Day 07: Trek Namrung (2580m.)

Day 08: Trek Samagaon (3480m.)

Day 09: Free day at Samagoan, hike to Birendra Tal and Manaslu base camp

Day 10: Trek Samdo (3865m.)

Day 11: Trek Dharmadala/Larke Phedi (4470m.)

Day 12: Trek Bimtang (3740m.) via Larke La (5125m.)

Day 13: Trek Tiliche (2255m.)

Day 14: Trek Chyamche

Day 15: Trek Nagdi Bazaar from Chyamche

Day 16: Back to Besisahar and Kathmandu
